• Cycle for Work 2013

Best New Charity (Project) – Cycle for Work ‘Cycle for Work’ raised over £100k to fund twenty five apprenticeships for young people in Calderdale. Nothing to it, just a little 900 mile cycle ride, heaps of school and corporate fund raising events and organising a mass cycle through Calderdale. An awful lot of work went into the ‘Cycle for Work’ project, not only from the Foundation but from the riders, from school children, from teachers, from local businesses and from many other people who helped support the cause in lots of different ways. So it was brilliant to get to see everyone’s efforts recognised in this way. We dedicate this award to the hard work and community spirit of the people of Calderdale.
